Avanti Ambekar, M.D.

Dr. Ambekar attended Northwestern University Medical School before completing her residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She then completed fellowships in both neuroradiology and musculoskeletal imaging at UCSF, where she served as Chief Resident in the Department of Radiology.

Dr. Ambekar was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2006. She received her Certificate of Added Qualification in neuroradiology in 2008. She currently practices at Mills- Peninsula Medical Center.

She is a member of the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Ambekar has published in the International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Osteoporosis International and given oral presentations at the annual meetings of the American Society of Spine Radiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology.
