Derk Purcell, M.D.

After earning his medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Dr. Purcell completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at UCSF.

He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the Radiological Society of North America. Dr. Purcell currently practices at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

His work has been published in the American Journal of Roentgenology, RadioGraphics, the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Laryngoscope, and the American Journal of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Purcell has presented at the annual meetings of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the Radiologic Society of North America, and the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology.

Dr. Purcell will be joining NSIA in July 2009. He will be neuroradiology CAQ eligible in 2010.
